This can be done by fitting the U-Safe or B-Safe gate safety cable or a 3rd hinge. B/U SAFE B-SAFE and U-SAFE are safety cables installed between the gate and wing near the top hinge. They prevent uncontrolled movement of the gate wing incase of hinge failure and comply with the EN 12604 safety standard.* MAXIMUM GATE WEIGHT We always mention the maximum gate weight which is allowed for our hinges. This weight is still under the maximum load. Locinox applies safety factor 3,5 which means that they can bear up to 3,5 times the maximally allowed gate weight without endangering safety. The maximum gate weights and the safety factor are only applicable for gates that comply with the following formula.
